Now that it is May, it's time to focus our students in grades 2-5 for a successful STAR testing. Please check under the documents section for a complete listing of the testing hours beginning Monday, May 5th. STAR testing is one measure of your child's academic progress in achieving grade level state standards in reading, writing, and mathematics. Fifth graders also take a science standards exam.

Please insist that your children get sufficient sleep each evening during testing beginning Sunday, May 4th. A nutritious breakfast is also essential. If your child is ill during testing, please call the office to let us know when they will return. Makeup testing will take place as needed. It is critical that students arrive to school by 8:45 each day of testing.

Ms. Wilson is our site testing coordinator and is working very closely within the community to procur testing proctors. A huge thank you to her and to her team of volunteers. We look forward to the results.
